In 1964, the Frisian translation of the English classic Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (1865) by Lewis Carroll appeared for the first time in Frisian. The translator was Tiny Mulder (1921–2010), a journalist and author of literary work for both adults and children. The Frisian 1964 edition was followed by a second edition by Afûk in 1994, and this third edition now appears at the Scottish publisher Evertype, known for publishing Alice in many languages.
