In the water

My wallet
fell into a pool
the other day.
I kept diving in
and diving in
and diving in
but I couldn’t get it
back
only pieces of it,
sodden docs
and sopping pictures.
And I got really worried
and angry
and I felt great loss
and I wanted to cry,
but then I saw
my eye
reflected in the water --
and then I saw
my I
reflected in the water --
I know I saw
my aye
reflected in the water --
